注：請注意下列正誤句子：
正：He cannot go to school because of sickness. / He cannot go to school because he is sick. 他因病不能上學。
誤：He cannot go to school because of (that) he is sick.
2. 由because of 構成的介詞短語一般只用作狀語，而不用作表語。作表語時可用due to。如：
誤：Tom’s absence was because of the rain.
正：Tom’s absence was due to the rain. 湯姆因下雨不能到場。
注：在閱讀中有時也可見到because of 短語用作表語，但值得注意的是，此時句子的主語通常中代詞而不是名詞。如：
It is because of hard work. 那是因為勞累的原因。
That will be because of money. 那將是因為金錢的緣故。
