2. at the beginning of 在……之初，在……開始時。如：
She left here at the beginning of this month. 她是本月初離開這兒的。

注：有時也用介詞 in, 但不如用介詞 at 普通。如：
It happened at [in] the beginning of this century. 此事發(fā)生在本世紀之初。
3. from the beginning 從開始，從一開始。如：

I was opposed to the plan from the beginning. 我從一開始就反對這個計劃。
4. from beginning to end 從頭至尾。如：
