One / Neither of you is right. （單數(shù)謂語）
Tom, with his friends, has gone. (主語是Tom, 單數(shù)謂語)
This pair of shoes looks beautiful. （主語是pair, 謂語用單數(shù)）
The shoes look beautiful. （此句主語無pair, 謂語用復數(shù)）
Every boy 初中政治 and every girl has a chance to do it. （此結構中用單數(shù)謂語）
The old need to be looked after carefully. The young are energetic.
(the 加形容詞表一類人或物，謂語用復數(shù))
Mr. and Mrs. Green are from America. 指格林夫婦 (復數(shù)謂語)
The teacher and writer is an able man. 指教師兼作家, 一個人，單數(shù)謂語。
Both you and I are excited about the news. （both…..and …做主語，謂語用復數(shù)）
