引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句的“一……就”英語(yǔ)中有許多詞和短語(yǔ)可用以引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句，表示“一……就……”，它們雖不是連詞，但具有連詞的功能。這些詞歸納起來(lái)，主要有以下幾類：
一、名詞類這類詞主要有the moment, the minute, the second, the instant, the day 等。如：The moment I saw him I knew there was no hope. 我一看到他就知道沒(méi)希望了。我一看到他就知道沒(méi)希The instant he opened the door he saw the thief. 他一開(kāi)門就看見(jiàn)了這個(gè)賊。He is going to visit his aunt the day he arrives in Beijing. 他一到北京，就去看他姨媽。
二、副詞類這類詞主要有immediately, directly, instantly, once 等。如：Once he arrives, we can start. 他一來(lái)我們就可以開(kāi)始。Immediately he came I told him the news. 他一來(lái)我就把消息告訴了他。
三、句型類這類詞主要有no sooner…than, hardly…when等。如：We had no sooner set out than it began to rain. 我們剛出發(fā)就下雨了。She had hardly arrived when it began to snow. 她剛到就下起雪來(lái)了。注：若將 no sooner, hardly 置于句首，則其后要用倒裝語(yǔ)序。如：
We had no sooner reached the airport than the plane took off.
=No sooner had we reached the airport than the plane took off.
我們剛到機(jī)場(chǎng)，飛機(jī)就起飛了。
